My Pseudo Daughter, Mariya

I was pleasantly surprised to receive a "report card" and an updated photo of my sponsored child, Mariya, a lovely 8-year old girl from Mongolia. She definitely has blossomed from the first picture I received 4.5 years ago with her short pixie hair to now a lovely rosy cheek girl with 2 side pigtails. 


My my, time really does fly. It has been slightly more than 4.5 years since I decided to sponsor a child via World Vision and I sincerely hope that the money went into a good cause to help Mariya  educate herself, have access to clean drinking water, enough food on the table, a sturdy roof over her head and warm clothes to keep her comfortable. Hopefully, being a sponsored child will enable her to grow up and contribute back to her people and her society.
